2021 Pool Reopening

Brittany Park Pool will open Memorial Day – May 31, 2021 and pool season final open day will be Monday – September 7, 2020.  Pool reservations will begin on May 24th, please do not use the sign up link before May 24th or your reservation may be omitted. Reservations are required for pool use and the following pool guidelines and restrictions apply.

After reviewing available guidelines from the CDC, Georgia Department of Public Health, and other sources, the Brittany Park pool will open in Memorial Day, May 31, 2021 with rules listed  below.

  1. Any individual with a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or who has come into contact with a person that has or is suspected of having COVID-19 within the past 14 days shall not enter the pool area. Symptoms may include cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
  2. A maximum of 20 people will be allowed in the pool area at any time.
  3. Only residents and their immediate family may use the pool, with parents, children, grandchildren, and siblings considered immediate family.  Residents must accompany  guests.
  4. Anyone wishing to use the pool must sign up for a two-hour window starting May 24th, 2021.  The link for sign up will be distributed to owners on May 24th.
  5. Sign-ups are limited to persons per family and also limited to one session per 2 weeks period. Please do not save spots unless you intend to be present, and please delete a reservation as soon as you know you will not be using it.
  6. The pool will be open from 10am – 7pm daily beginning Monday, May 31, and accessible only through the main entrance pool entrance.
  7. Residents must bring their own chair in good condition. Any chairs, trash, toys, or other belongings brought to the pool must be taken home with you.  Pack it in, pack it out.
  8. Use good hygiene, including frequent washing of hands and appropriate covering of sneezes and coughs while in the pool area.
  9. No parties or large gatherings are allowed at the pool.

Restrooms and frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned not less than daily, and signage will be posted consistent with department of public health guidelines. However, residents who choose to swim in the pool do so at their own risk. If the rules above are not followed, the board will be obligated to close the pool.  If you see a violation of the rules, please report it to the pool monitor.

Please let members of the board know if you have any questions. We will review these procedures at the end of May for any revisions that may be  necessary.

Reminder: Assessments must be paid in full to use community amenities.

Update (March 18, 2020)

Dear Brittany Park Homeowner,

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns, the Board of Directors (BOD) for Brittany Park have taken the following actions for your protection:

  1. Brittany Park HOA clubhouse reservations have been postponed until further notice. No reservations will be accepted at this time.
  2. The customary Brittany Park pool opening date [typically the Memorial Day weekend], has been postponed until further notice.

We encourage everyone to educate themselves on COVID-19 and to follow the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations and take precautions to lower exposure risk.

APD Dispatch

On December 7, 2018, the Board of Directors were informed of an incident requiring dispatch and investigation by the City of Atlanta Police Department. However, the Board has not received nor are they aware of any additional information regarding this matter.

The pool will be opening on May 28, 2018. All members in good standing are welcome to use the pool starting that day. Those that have not yet paid their annual assessment can make an online payment by going to www.accessmgt.com. Payments must be posted to the account prior to obtaining your pool gate code. Please note: The board will not accept payments in person; they must go to the management company.

Upcoming Events:

Brittany Park Town Hall Meeting – Thursday April 26th, 2018
Refreshments will be served:

1. 6:30pm – Special meeting for any owner who would like to volunteer to Chair or serve on the Social Committee and/or Community Outreach Committees.

2. 7 – 8pm – Town Hall Community Meeting. Meet and greet your neighbors! Pool gate codes procedures will be announced. Amenity access will be provided to all owners in good standing with their HOA fees.

Pool Access for Renters: May 1st, 6pm-9pm

All renters must submit a notarized letter from the current homeowner, detailing the permission to utilize the pool. Only the homeowner can complete the renter application form, confirming family members that are allowed to use the pool. All HOA fees must be current. HOA Board Member or designee will meet with all renters on May 1st, between the hours of 6pm-9pm to go over the pool policy for renters. Attendance is MANDATORY for all renters. If you do not attend this meeting you will not be given access to the pool this year.

Pool Opening Day: May 28, 2018

Pool gate codes will be distributed Monday May 21st, 2018 through Thursday May 24th 2018 between
the hours of 7-8pm.

Pool gate codes may also be passed out during pool hours- 10am-9pm Pool wristbands will not be
distributed for the 2018 pool season.

No Parking On The Street

Parking – Vehicles should be parked in garages and driveways, not on the streets.  This is for the safety of all, especially children.  Please advise your guests of this standard.

Rules and Regulations Reminders

Lawns – Lawns should be mowed weekly during the growing season which is from May 1st and September 30th. If you go on vacation, please ensure that someone mows your grass while you are gone.  Grass clippings should not be put in landscape beds.

Edging – Curbs, driveways, walks, and landscape beds should be edged every other week.

Yard Waste – All yard waste and trimmings should be put in bags and stored out of sight. On the night before your rubbish pick up, it may be placed on the curb.

Mulch/Pine Straw  Landscape beds should be covered with fresh pine straw or mulch twice a year, in the Spring and Fall. This will not only help prevent weeds in your beds but it will hold moisture in the soil. 

Weeds – Regular applications of weed preventers will prevent weeds from growing in your yard.

Mailboxes – Take a look at your mailbox and be sure yours is freshly painted and that the numbers are permanently affixed according to the community standards. All mailboxes must be black.

Home Repairs – As soon as the weather permits you can begin exterior home repairs. Check to see if your home needs painting; if your trim or siding is rotten and needs to be replaced; if there is caulking to do or boards to replace; if your driveway, sidewalk or house need pressure washing. Remember, if you plan to paint your home a new color, you will need written approval.

Hide from View – Trash receptacles should be hidden from view as should tools, toys and sports equipment that are not in use. Do not store trash cans in a location where it is visible from the street.

Parking – Vehicles should be parked in garages and driveways, not on the streets. This is for the safety of all, especially children.  Please advise your guests of this standard.

Pets – If you have a pet, be mindful of your neighbors. No one wants dog waste in their yards, dogs barking and running through their yard.  Keep your pet safe and away from harm. 

ARC Approval ALL changes and/or additions to the exterior of your home need the approval of your community Board. Your request should be sent for review to the Board of Directors via Carol at Access Management.  The community ARC [Architectural Review Committee] forms which must be submitted for any exterior modification to your home can be found under “Documents”. Failure to submit modification forms are a violation of the covenant and will result in a $250 fine.
